1. Key Scriptures

• John 3:16     • Romans 10:9-13     • Luke 13:23-25     • Romans 3:21-28

  1. Men have established every method to be saved from the power of sin apart from believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
  2. Men have therefore remained under the bondage of sin and are slaves to sin’s power.
  3. People have established cults, manmade religions, and set up man made systems as how to be receiving salvation and be whole in God, yet to no avail.

2.  Repentance

            -Acts 2:38 -Luke 15:7-10

-Ezekiel 18:30-32

  1. In order to become a true Christian and a child of God, the first step is to recognize you are a sinner and repent.
  • Repentance is to have another mind, change of mind, or to turn back.
  • The word repents in today’s terms also means feeling sorry for what you have done or regretting something.
  1. Offer genuine repentance.

-Romans 3:23

    • Recognize you are a sinner.
    • This is a 100% change in thought and action.
    • A change of thinking that brings a new perspective of the terrible consequences of sin.
    • Changing your actions and turning to God from disobedience, selfishness, and rebellion.
    • To turn away from sin and submit your life to God and make Jesus your Lord.
  1. Confess your sins to God.
    • To yield your entire life into His hands.

A. The second major condition to enter God’s Kingdom is saving faith.

  • In order to be saved and become a disciple, you must believe.
  • You must believe that Jesus died to shed His blood to wash away your sins.

B. Saving faith is faith for salvation as follows:

  • Committing your life to God.                                     Psalm 37:5
  • Believing in Jesus Christ.                                John 3:16
  • Becoming obedient from your heart.  Romans 6:17

  2. Until a man is born of the Spirit, his soul will run his life.
  3. Before you are born again, you live to your soul and body.
  4. When you become born again, your spirit receives life to be led by the Holy Spirit.  -Ephesians 2:1-2
  5. To be born again means one has received life through the deep areas of your personalities which has become dead because of sin.
